One Community is a nonprofit all-volunteer sustainability think tank. Our volunteer team fluctuates between 150-200 team members and has included over 1200 volunteers representing more than 60 different countries. We're seeking a landscape architect with SketchUp and Lumion experience to help us create video walkthroughs of each of these ultra-sustainable botanical garden greenhouse designs that demonstrate the merging of food production with beautiful recreation spaces: https://www.onecommunityglobal.org/aquapini-and-walipini-planting-and-harvesting/

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in landscape architecture
  • Lumion and SketchUp access and experience
  • Minimum 10 hours (20 would be better) a week for at least 2 months
  • Excellent attention to detail and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment

ABOUT THE STRUCTURES

The six initial food production structures at One Community are designed to be duplicated as standalone structures or as a complete village food infrastructure set. Each structure is designed to demontrates a different food-producing environment. These environments include such diverse environments as the Frost-free Arid Zone Desert House, Cloud Forest House, Subtropical House, etc.

Planting plans are complete, but we need someone to help improve the layout, presentation, and integration of "people spaces" so these can look and function as botanical gardens with social spaces.
