Purpose: Provide a shuttle service, connecting Pillars’ clients with other community resources that require transportation. Lunch Van Drivers shuttle clients from the Resource Center to the Salvation Army for lunch, volunteering from 11:15am - 12:30pm. Pantry Drivers aid in bringing food between our two shelters, or picking up from community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Pillars’ vehicle to transport clients from the Resource Center (PRC) to the Salvation Army for lunch
  • Track the clients that use the lunch van service
  • Track mileage and gas usage
  • Train new volunteers as they are onboarded
  • Pick up food from community organizations
  • Deliver food to shelter

All new volunteers must attend a volunteer orientation session. Information will be sent to you if you express interest here.

Pillars operates two shelters, a resource center, stable & support housing programs, and a independent living program focused on young adults living with mental health challenges.
