The Great Atlanta Dog Show is a fun and free event that includes 4 dog show categories, vendors, and prizes! The dog show categories include Precious Puppies, Posh Paws, Magnificent Mixes, and Sassy Seniors and is open to ALL dogs! There will also be prizes for the winners of the dog shows!
The event is benefiting Transitions Pet Care which is a nonprofit in Atlanta that provides free pet care for the pets of owners diagnosed with major illnesses or are recovering from injuries, or surgeries. Their services include free dog walking, litter box maintenance, transportation to pet appointments, and temporary foster care for pets while the owner is in the hospital. For more information: www.TransitionsPetCare.org
We are looking volunteers to help us make the event a success! We need volunteers to help us in the morning to get set up (9:30am to 12pm) and to help clean up after the event (4-5:30pm). We also need volunteers during the event (12pm to 4pm) to help us manage the event. This can include helping event attendees with any customer service issues, greet attendees, and engage with people throughout the day to make sure everyone is having fun!
If interested, please email us at Dogshow@thegreatatlantadogshow.com. There will be an optional volunteer orientation before the event to make sure everyone is prepared.

About Transitions Pet Care
Location:

Mission Statement
Transitions Pet Care's mission is to provide pet care and re-homing services for the pets of people facing the end of life.
Description
We provide pet care such as dog walking, litter box maintenance, and transportation to and from pet appointments so that terminally ill people can keep their pets even when they're too sick to care for them. We also work with these pet owners to identify a new home for the pet when the owner passes away. If a permanent home is not identified, the pet will go into one of our foster homes. This prevents pets from being dumped in a shelter or euthanized and enable the owner to pass away peacefully knowing their dog or cat will be cared for in a home environment.
