To cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and to improve the qulaity of life for children and adults affected by these digestive diseases.
Description
Known collectively as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), these painful, chronic illnesses affect up to 1.4 million Americans, including approximately 150,000 children under the age of 18.
Since its inception in 1967, CCFA has provided more than $136 million to IBD research and funds more than 94 research projects every year. Cited by Smart Money Magazine as one of the nation's Top Ten Charities You Can Trust, CCFA sends 81 cents of every dollar raised directly to fund research, education and support programs.
