We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Diversity Equity Inclusion & Belongingness (DEI&B) Specialist / Senior Specialist.

DESCRIPTION

The DEI&B Specialist / Senior Specialist position will report to Random Acts’ Global Culture Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging. As a DEI&B Specialist, you will be part of a vibrant virtual global organization that welcomes diverse perspectives, talents, and contributions. The DEI&B Specialist / Senior Specialist will primarily be responsible for conducting the research, and developing actionable insights that will inform the strategy, procedures, policies, and protocol in their relevant DEI&B area of specialization

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the implementation of a cohesive DEI&B strategy by providing support, thought leadership, and guidance to senior leadership, operational and programmatic teams, and HR.
  • Work with the DEI&B Manager and Global Culture Director of DEI&B to review new and existing Random Acts’ programs and policies providing advice and guidance for teams developing projects.
  • Work with the DEI&B Manager and Global Culture Director of DEI&B to review the DEI&B statement, commitments, and associated metrics, and create and roll-out mechanisms for data collection and monitoring. Work closely with Random Acts’ teams and HR to track and report on the current state and progress made towards DEI&B commitments.
  • Work closely with leadership to develop and implement country-level DEI&B plans that align with and support the organizational strategy.
  • Identify and introduce most effective trainings and resources to support staff DEI&B literacy, and create and sustain a diverse, equitable, and inclusive organizational culture.
  • Collaborate with Random Acts’ teams to prepare and create DEI&Bcommunications material increasing knowledge, dialogue, and conversations about critical issues that will be distributed across sites.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Assist HR and Management on issues concerning work related employee relations, interpreting, and applying company policies and procedures.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a related field; Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in one of the following areas: Accessibility/Disability, LGBTQI+ and/or Ethnic diversity
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and high degree of cultural awareness, sensitivity, and flexibility.
  • Demonstrated experience working on DEI&B related initiatives including experience creating and delivering training on diversity and inclusion topics. Experience working with global non-profits is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data and analytics into insights, stories, and visual representations to present and share across Random Acts.
  • Knowledgeable on appropriate federal, state, local, laws, rules, regulations, HR policies and procedures regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Ability to handle complex issues with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Able to self motivate with the ability to use good judgment to problem solve and capable of driving results.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google suite of tools
  • Experience with working in global/ non-profits a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, client management and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is preferred.

This role requires remote working. Applicants must have regular and reliable access to the internet, as well as the motivation to dedicate their time to the organization.
