The Response Line team members are responsible for

  • managing all messages that come to our PAWS email and/or voicemail during their assigned shift
  • responding to each message and forwarding a summary and follow-up request to the volunteer(s) that can provide more information or service the request
  • maintaining a log of all the messages and outcomes
  • following up on open issues to make sure they are addressed and resolved
  • ensuring that their shift is covered by another team member when the assigned volunteer has a conflict.

Each team member is assigned to manage the messages for one day per week,

Description

PAWS is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue and foster network, founded in Wakefield, MA, in 1982 by the late Esther Nowell. PAWS grew out of Wakefield’s Canine Control Committee and now responds to various animal-related needs, focusing on the needs of felines in the Greater Boston area-especially north and northwest of Boston.
