Do you like to sit near the Erie Canal and watch boats go by?
Do you like chatting with people from all over the country and the world?
Join our team of volunteers as a Museum greeter. No experience necessary.
Volunteers are needed from June to September each year. Volunteers are scheduled on a 2 hour basis.
An ideal volunteer would schedule themselves for 2 shifts per month. Training is provided.

Mission Statement
To establish and maintain a history museum, historical research and reference center, and visitor center relating to the history of the Erie Canal, the Ogden Telephone Company, and transportation and communication in the Village of Spencerport and Town of Ogden in the County of Monroe, State of New York.
Description
The Spencerport Depot & Canal Museum houses many historical items from the Erie Canal, Ogden Telephone Company, Village of Spencerport and Town of Ogden.
The Museum is one of the selected cultural heritage sites in the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor, as well as an Affiliate Site in their Partnership Program.
The Museum also acts as a Welcome Center and Boater’s Facility for those traveling along the Erie Canal.
