What is Puppy Raising?
1. Introduce puppies to the world
2. Teach basic obedience with the help of a trainer
3. Give them the love, guidance, and care necessary for them to become service dogs

Time commitments are flexible and range from a few weeks to 16 months.

Costs like veterinary care can be covered by the organization or volunteers can offer to cover these costs.

Experience working with dogs or animals is desirable but not required.

OUR VISION Foliage Retrievers Service Dogs aims to bridge the gap in access to service animals that has been created by the restrictive eligibility requirements of existing service dog organizations.

Description

EXPANDING ACCESS
FRSD will serve individuals with PTSD that
qualify based on their care team's
recommendation. The goal is for
underserved communities such as women,
veterans in rural areas, individuals with
non-combat PTSD, and those with more
complex cases such as those with PTSD and
chronic illness to have equitable access to
service animals.
