If you’re passionate about trees and conservation, we have the perfect volunteer opportunity waiting for you. We offer a wide range of events that are fun and rewarding. Join us now, and help build and protect our urban canopy.
Volunteer with Trees Atlanta and learn about how to care for plants and the importance of our urban forest. We have projects Monday-Saturday, ranging from outdoor tree maintenance to education events. View upcoming volunteer opportunities and sign up on our web calendar at https://www.treesatlanta.org/get-involved/events/.
No prior experience is necessary - Trees Atlanta will teach you what to do. Tree Care Projects and Forest Restoration Projects are best for ages 12 and up while the Tree Planting Projects are open to all ages. Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Volunteers between the ages of 16 and 17 who are not accompanied by a parent/guardian must bring a waiver signed by a parent/guardian
Physical activity such as bending, lifting, and kneeling is required for many of our opportunities. Projects happen rain or shine, so please check the weather beforehand and come prepared. Trees Atlanta will provide all necessary tools and instruction. For outdoor projects, all volunteers need work gloves, closed-toed shoes or boots, clothes that can get dirty, sunscreen and bug spray as needed, snacks as needed (though a meal or snack before the project is recommended), and drinking water in reusable containers. No one-time-use plastic bottles, please.
We hope to work with you at a volunteer project soon!
