The Warwick Historical Cemetery Commission is looking for volunteers to clean up its local cemeteries. Benjamin Franklin said "Show me first the graveyards of a country and I will tell you the true character of the people." What is your true character? Are you required to perform community service for school? Are you looking for a rewarding activity to do with friends? Do you just like hanging out in cemeteries?
Brush and leaves and small trees have invaded many of Warwick's Historical Cemeteries and they may eventually destroy the grave stones. We need your help to cut the brush and small trees and rake the fallen leaves.
No training is required. We will provide you with a list of do's and don'ts and can provide rakes and clippers. The City will also provide yard waste bags and can pick up the bags after the project is completed.
