WORLD will now be hosting fresh food market every 3rd Wednesday of the month serving the Oakland community. We are looking for multilingual volunteers to help lift and move boxes, and register community members on site. 3 Shifts

  • 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM PST
    This shift involves breaking down the event. Volunteers are not required to stay for the full shift.
  • 12:15 PM to 02:30 PM PST
    This shift will involve distributing food and possibly translating. Volunteers are not required to stay the full shift.
  • 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM PST
    This shift is for event set up. Volunteers are not required to stay for the full shift.

WORLD improves the lives and health of women, girls, families and communities affected by HIV through peer-based education, wellness services, advocacy, and leadership development. We envision a world where women, girls, and families affected by HIV and AIDS have the tools, support and knowledge to live healthy and productive lives with dignity. Description

WORLD is an organization internationally recognized for our work with women. Our services include support groups, linkage to care, peer advocacy, educational classes and forums, policy and advocacy work, and retreats for positive women. We also work with youth, have a speakers bureau, and participate in special events such as the AIDS walk.
