TIDE Academy is a small, public high school offering a STEAM-focused program via Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways and dual-enrolled classes with Foothill College. Our most popular pathway focuses on game design. Over the course of 3 years, students study commercial arts, graphic design, photography, video arts, website design, and illustration. The mentor program is offered during a student's junior year.
As a mentor, you will share information about your career and the path you took to get where you are today. Discussing your education, previous jobs, promotions, and what your role looks like on a day-to-day basis is the cornerstone of our program. We have a set curriculum that is focused on career exploration and developing the students' business communication goals. Key deliverables include an elevator pitch, SMART goals, resumes, mock interviews, and a job shadow.
Mentors often share that this is an easy time commitment, but we appreciate the big impact it has on students! Contact us if you want to inspire a student, build a stronger community, and promote an industry that you love,
