Friends of PPLD is looking for book-loving volunteers to help set up our Fall BIG Book Sale! We have shifts available for setting up the sale on Thursday, October 10th, monitoring the sales floor on Friday, October 11th (must be Friends member for this shift), Saturday, October 12th and Sunday the 13th, and tearing it all down on Monday, October 14th.
Shifts range from two to four hours depending on the day and task.
Lunch, water, beverages, and snacks will be provided.

Description
The Friends of the Pikes Peak Library District was established on March 11, 1955 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Colorado Springs Public Library, and incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1969.
We support the Pikes Peak Library District by serving as community advocates, raising funds to enhance library services and programs, promoting the love of reading and books, and recirculating materials in environmentally responsible ways.

REQUIREMENTS
- This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
- Must be at least 18
- This short-term commitment needs volunteers over a 5-day period. Sign up for 1 or more shifts. Set-up day has a 2-hour minimum service requested. Remaining days have set shift schedules; Friday shift is reserved for Friends members only.
- Please wear appropriate closed-toe shoes and clothing you won't mind getting a little dirty. The ability to lift book boxes is helpful but not necessary for most shifts.
