The Bedford Ride provides non-emergency medical transportation (non-Medicaid) for Bedford residents that are unable to drive.
Drivers are asked to drive when it is convenient for them and only on week days when weather permits. Bedford Ride provides the vehicle, gas & insurance. You provide the time to transport a neighbor in need.
Dispatchers routinely pair the client needing a ride with a volunteer driver for each assigned ride. This activity is carried out on a weekly basis. Generally time commitment is 2-3 hours a week depending on the assigned area.
