Certified Pet Therapy Teams for Hospice Patient Visits

Volunteers with certified pet therapy dogs are needed to visit local hospice patients in their homes or long-term facilities. Patients enjoy the extra attention and unconditional love they feel from a four-legged companion, especially if they no longer have pets of their own.

Program Requirements:

Volunteer/Handler must be 17 years of age or order

Have their own certified therapy dog

Pass background, Take a TB test, and fingerprinting, all provided

Dog must:

Be certified through an approved therapy dog organization, be current on all immunizations
