ORGANIZATION: Mclaren Homecare Group - Hospice

McLaren Hospice is seeking dedicated veterans who would like to make differences in lives of U. S. Military veteran hospice patients that are being faced with advanced illnesses. Training is provided and medical experience is not necessary.

Services may include:

  • Friendly visits with our hospice patients and their family
  • Listening to a patient reminisce
  • Reading to patients
  • Respite support for caregiver by sitting with patient as family takes a break
  • Assisting with pinning ceremonies for our veterans

Our goal is to present an American pin and certificate to each our U.S. veterans on hospice and seek veteran volunteers to assist with this program.

Patients are located in Port Huron and throughout the Port Huron area including Fort Gratiot, Clyde, Marysville, Richmond, New Haven, Yale, Emmett, Port Sanilac and St. Clair
