Moments Hospice is looking for someone who is passionate in assisting families after the loss of their loved ones in a support group setting.
This person would be conducting in-person, peer-led support groups for adults who have lost a loved one in the Eau Claire community.
The ideal candidate will have experience providing support in a group setting, and may have additional training or qualifications in the following professions:
-Social Work
-Counseling
-Psychology
-Spirituality/Chaplaincy
-Other similar professional experience
With guidance and support from the Moments Hospice Bereavement Department, this is an opportunity for a passionate and motivated volunteer to:
-Work independently
-Manage communication among support group attendees
-Maintain a consistent support group schedule of at least once per month
-Prepare topics or thoughts for group discussion prior to each meeting
While this position allows for flexibility and self-management, the volunteer will be a full member of the bereavement volunteer team and have opportunities to collaborate with Moments Hospice bereavement coordinators to identify creative ways to support the community, receive access to events and other education provided by the bereavement team.
This is a volunteer position that can be flexible based on your schedule and is a perfect position for anyone looking to gain experience in group loss support.
