Mission Statement

The Richmond Emergency Food Pantry is a non-profit, 100% volunteer organization providing emergency food packages to those in need since 1971.

Description

Volunteers organize and distribute food supplies for those in need on Tuesdays and Fridays of each week. Clients are eligible to receive food once per month. In July 2022, the pantry provided food for 3,700 clients. Food is purchased from the Contra Costa/Solano County Food Bank using funds donated by individuals and congregations. Each month for the past several years requests for assistance have consistently increased. We need volunteers to help with every aspect of our operation.
