ORGANIZATION: Freedom Palliative Hospice Care - DFW

Seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to plan and then lead other volunteers in creating craft projects to be given to hospice patients on holidays. Individual would be responsible for seeking simple, cost-effective, projects for the various holidays. Individual will maintain a schedule of what project will be made for each holiday and a timeline for getting the crafts made. He/she will provide Volunteer Coordinator a list of needed supplies and the on-line sites or stores from which to purchase them at the most cost-effective price. The coordinator will then lead other volunteers in a group setting in making the crafts.

Freedom Hospice offers hospice service in the Dallas/ Fort Worth, Cleburne, San Antonio and other extended areas around those locations.

Hospice care is managed through a medically directed interdisciplinary team approach. Our team provides the patient and family with the best possible compassionate care. The interdisciplinary team develops a patient specific plan of care for each individual.

The hospice team consists of physicians, nurses, social workers, nursing assistants, chaplains, bereavement coordinators, volunteer coordinators and trained hospice volunteers.
