Pickens County Advocacy Center is a Sexual Assault Advocacy Center. This unpaid volunteer position is a direct services opportunity.

This position includes...

  • Choosing 2-3 days per month to be on call for the agency
  • Answering crisis calls for our 24 hour confidential hotline
  • Attending Baptist Easley or Cannon Memorial if a survivor is in the emergency department
  • Completing proper documentation during a hospital accompaniment
  • Providing Compassion and Encouragement to survivors of sexual assault
  • Training from the agency on how to properly respond to the crisis hotline and hospital calls

This opportunity will help volunteers gain helpful and insightful experience in the Victim Services Field. This position can be used as an internship if needed.

Pickens County Advocacy Center provides immediate 24-hour response to sexual assault victims and their families through medical, court, and law enforcement escort, educational programs, information and referral, legal advocacy, and support services. PCAC also provides training for medical personnel, social service agencies, and law enforcement on the dynamics of sexual assault. As a continued service to community all services of the Pickens County Advocacy Center are complimentary and confidential.
