Tharros is on a mission to empower girls to stay engaged in sports and fitness. Board members serve as critical community champions who share their personal and professional experiences to help Tharros thrive.
We're looking for Board Members who are excited to:
- Take action annually in some significant way to support the organization’s mission (e.g. expert advice, door opening, funding or fundraising)
- Actively participate in quarterly convenings and events such as annual meetings and special gatherings to celebrate successes and plan for the future
- Mobilize support (volunteers, connections, philanthropic support, etc.) to help execute on plans, activities and needs of the organization
Our collective purpose:
- Create connection and community for like-minded women who want to provide guidance and advisement to achieve equity in sports
- Share expertise on innovation, gender equity, sports, equity in sports, nonprofit management or youth development
- Energize efforts to increase philanthropic support and partnerships
- Amplify opportunities to advance the mission and vision of Tharros

Description
We are designing a new path to achieve gender equity in sports. Our path starts with girls and focuses on personal growth and development.
Our goal is to:
- ELEVATE women and girls by raising the profiles of women in sports and fitness who serve as role models
- INSPIRE by giving girls the courage they need to develop a confident and bold athletic identity
- CONNECT by creating a safe and encouraging community to have courageous conversations and lift up girls and women in sports
- AMPLIFY by promoting equity in the sports industry and help girls see it to believe it's possible
