In our space high school students have an opportunity to explore their interests in technology and engineering either through:

  • Our social enterprise developing products, services or events or
  • the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) competitive robotics teams (#s 19541, 19970 and 20771)

Mentors support students with their projects and engage them in their career interests. Some examples of mentoring are:

  • becoming a co-lead with a student lead on a project;
  • sharing knowledge with students to help them level up their capabilities;
  • stressing the importance of engineering notebooks;
  • helping them identify what they should be communicating as a team member;
  • helping them focus, prioritize and scope a task of work that can be completed;
  • helping them troubleshoot a problem;
  • sharing their workplace experiences; and
  • celebrate successes!

The FTC robotics teams are busy from the August through February meeting 1-3 times a week depending on whether they are working on mechanisms, programming or business team efforts.

Mission Statement

To enable and support high school students in Technology, Engineering and Entrepreneurship with Experiences and Community.

Description

Our Vision is to provide a shared space with the equipment, resources and a mentoring community of support that provides opportunities for industry experiences for students and the capabilities to enable student programs in technology, engineering and entrepreneurship. We are open to hosting businesses and their work-based learning opportunities in our space to provide students more experiences.

We were founded in January 2020. We provide internships within our social enterprise of products, services and events. Our programs includes industry tours, mentoring opportunities, exhibitions and customer interactions. We also provide a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) program for students to compete in a "sports of the mind". We are a 501c3 nonprofit with a governed by our Bylaws, Articles of Incorporation and a Board of Directors.

We are currently located at the Grace Best Facility thanks to our partnership with Lewis Palmer School District 38.
