We need you! Become a member of the Chapter Outdoors Team, the next generation of leaders helping to make the outdoors more accessible and enjoyable for all.

Inspired by nature, we work together to protect our communities and the planet. This work includes leading others in opportunities to get outdoors ("outings") to help foster a connection between people of all backgrounds and their environment, and between one another.

We’re more than just hiking. Outings can consist of everything from picnics, community building, touring sustainable breweries, bicycling, skiing, neighborhood history walks, bird-watching, enjoying parks and other natural areas, and - of course - hiking of all varieties and experience levels. No matter what your interest in the outdoors, there’s a place for you at the Sierra Club.

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the transformative power of the outdoors. We're looking for great people to help make the outdoors more accessible and enjoyable for all -- and to help others learn how to advocate for all the places we live, work, play, and love.

We’re bringing the chapter Outdoors Team together as a cohort of leaders eager to share these transformative experiences with their friends and neighbors. The Team will have dedicated training and support from chapter staff through 2023 and beyond.

Apply today to join the Outdoors Team - and help bring your community outside to explore, enjoy, and protect the most beautiful places in the Pacific Northwest.
