This opportunity is wonderful for retired individuals that enjoy driving and assisting low income seniors. We need people with a valid drivers license, insurance, and time. Our program assists low-income seniors get to doctors, dentist and physical therapy appointments. The goal of our program is to keep one of societies vulnerable populations independent as long as safely possible. With the assistance of volunteers, we are able to keep our clients in their homes longer. Volunteers will drive as much as twice a day, and can limit drives to once a month. We are flexible and want the drivers to enjoy volunteering. Our program needs drivers Monday through Friday, ranging from 7:30am until 5pm. I will call, text, or email driving assignments that cater to the drivers schedule, the driver accepts or declines that drive. We offer mileage reimbursement for every mile driven.
