Phoenix Hospice’s volunteer program is looking for compassionate, caring members of our communities who are interested in hospice volunteering. Do you have an interest in spending time with patients? Do you love engaging in a variety of activities or have a favorite one you’d like to share? Would you like to lend a helping hand in our office? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, Phoenix is looking for you! Join Team Phoenix to start serving your community and helping your neighbors!
Hospice volunteers can perform many tasks, here are some examples:
-Provide companionship
-Read a book
-Watch TV or movies
-Sing or play an instrument
-Be present with the patient
-Perform small household chores
-Assist with administrative tasks at the Phoenix Office
-Send letters/cards or scrapbook from home
Requirements:
-You must be 16
-Pass background check
-Have valid ID

Hospice provides comfort care and focuses on quality of life. Hospice is a benefit that is available to those who are facing a life-limiting illness. Hospice does not give us the power to shorten or prolong life. Hospice gives us the power to choose how we live.
