ReStore

ReStores are open to the public and sell donated home improvement products at a fraction of retail prices. Plus, we keep usable materials out of landfills by recycling the materials into home building, remodeling, and creative art projects. We raise funds to help Habitat for Humanity build affordable homes in the Portland metropolitan area.

Description: ReStore Treasure Hunters help staff sort through knick-knacks, novelties, and trinkets to find the hidden treasures within each donation. You never know what you will find! It could be a pair of binoculars, a vintage Scrabble board set, or the most beautiful stained-glass lamp you have ever seen. Don't miss out on finding these treasures for

Supervisor:All ReStore staff members are responsible for overseeing the work of ReStore volunteers. However, the ReStore supervisors will direct most daily tasks with the support of ReStore volunteers. The manager, assistant manager, and volunteer coordinator will be responsible for formal performance management.

Commitment:We ask that ReStore volunteers commit to at least two shifts per month. This helps the training process move along and also allows volunteers to work more independently after training. After accumulating 16 volunteer hours, you will receive a 25% discount on any treasures you find and want to keep!

Requirements:
- 14-15-year-olds can volunteer with an adult (21+) on-site
- 16-17-year-olds can volunteer with a parent/guardian waiver
- Must be fully vaccinated to participate (booster not required at this time)
- Can be a physically demanding work environment (accommodations provided per request)

We strive for a culture where people of every race, ethnicity, nationality, economic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, size, and disability are welcomed, empowered, and celebrated. Please contact us about any accessibility requirements you have so we can work together to accommodate you.
