Sharing is caring. Are you ready to share your story?
NAMI’s exclusive presentation, In Our Own Voice , features four pairs of people on video and one pair "live, all sharing the struggles and successes with their mental health.
Called "the ultimate empathy builder", In Our Own Voice humanizes this thing we call "mental illness" as 10 different people share their experiences from discovery to recovery.
YOU COULD BE ONE OF THEM.
We are actively seeking "live" presenters who are willing to tell their story to audiences throughout Clackamas County eager to learn that they are not alone when wondering how to support themselves and/or their loved ones dealing with the challenges that come with mental health issues.
WHAT’S INVOLVED?
A full day of training to prepare and deliver your story, along with ongoing coaching, are provided at no cost. Presentations are scheduled by staff and sent to all qualified presenters, giving you the option to participate or not. Your time commitment would vary, as presentations last 60-90 minutes depending upon audience questions.
Each presenter is featured for a total of 5-7 minutes throughout the presentation.
We ask that each presenter commit to at least six presentations in their first 12 months after training.
