Are you interested in talking to people around the world and increasing your ability to form meaningful connections?

Whether you are an experienced communicator or new to the idea that human connection can be practiced, building community is a lifelong journey - Acquaint offers something for everyone.

As a Cultural Networking volunteer with Acquaint, you’ll get the chance to meet people from all over the world through 45- to 60-minute dialogues. Every week, you set your availability, and we pair you with another volunteer from around the world. The goal is simple: to ask questions, share experiences, and develop skills in connecting with other people.

Each session is an opportunity to enhance our human connection skills with someone new, guided by your selection of conversation prompts and virtual icebreakers.

About Acquaint

Location:

1685 134th Ave SE., i103, BELLEVUE, WA 98005, US

Mission Statement

Build united communities through a practice of human connection.

Description

Acquaint recruits volunteers to adopt a practice of human connection in order to help unite communities. Since 2021, volunteers from over 100 countries have created lifelong, societal impact by becoming better critical thinkers and connectors through more than 15,000 hours of 1-on-1 dialogue and personalized training.

We invite you to imagine all of the people you may need or want to interact with - family, coworkers, or even competitors. What if each of these interactions was more impactful, collaborative, and positive? Acquaint provides an opportunity for you to make that reality, creating a positive ripple effect both locally and globally.

The Process

Each week you choose to volunteer, you will enter your availability, and we will pair you with others around the world based on their schedules. These random pairings mean that you could find yourself speaking to someone right down the street or on the other side of the globe. Every interaction is an opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to a more peaceful world. You will also gain access to personalized communication training courses as you progress on your journey.

Our vision is a world united by community, where everyone feels like the belong.

Join us and become a community builder. Together, we can make meaningful human connection a transformative force for global change.
