Pacific Opera Project is the most innovative opera company in Los Angeles! Our small but mighty team produces "accessible, affordable, and entertaining" opera all throughout LA.
Not only do we create vibrant and groundbreaking works of art on stage, but we also have an exciting opera and music education program for kids of all ages.
Join the fun and volunteer with POP! The opportunities are endless and they all include beautiful music and unforgettable parties. Some volunteer needs include:
- Painting or decorating a set
- Helping out in the costume department
- Doing POP Instagram Takeovers
- Assisting the Fundraising team with data entry and donor thank you letters
- Working with kids in our school and afterschool programs
- Setting up for community events and concerts
- Assisting backstage and the box office crew as a volunteer usher on show days
If you have a special skill, put it to work! Or volunteer with POP to build your resume or get involved in opera. POP Volunteers can receive free tickets to shows and invites to exclusive POP parties!

Pacific Opera Project was founded in July of 2011. Our vision is that in the future, opera will become a greater part of popular culture, as we develop a larger local community of opera lovers and launch the careers of opera makers. LA Weekly called POP the "best opera company in Los Angeles" in 2018.
