Mission Statement

Hillsdale County Senior Services Center, a private non-profit organization established in 1983, is "Growing to Serve." The Center is a place where older persons meet to pursue mutual interests, receive services and take part in programs and services which will enhance their dignity, improve their health, support their independence, and encourage their involvement in the community.

Description

The Perennial Park Vision reflects the Center's goal to improve the quality of life of all Hillsdale County residents. Our vision addresses the needs of rural residents facing a high incidence of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, illiteracy and limited opportunities for life-long learning. Future plans include senior housing, a walking path, pool and gymnasium.

We have three categories of programs to chose from. Community Connections, Home Based Services and Life Enrichment.

Volunteers are a vital part of everything that happens at Perennial Park. Our dedicated volunteers of all ages enable us to offer more activities and services to people throughout Hillsdale County. Volunteering is a great way to make new friends, renew old acquaintances and stay active. So come on - try something new and choose to volunteer an hour or two. The Center's 193 volunteers that volunteered 8,831 hours during the 2011 fiscal year allow us to provide the services and programs that we do. Perennial Park is truly blessed to have such a pool of talented and dedicated volunteers. A BIG THANK YOU to all who volunteered in living Perennial Park's "Growing to Serve" motto.
