Mission Statement
Spokane Area Jewish Family Services works to meet social service needs of our community by offering family oriented programs and services that incorporate Jewish values, ethics, culture, and the tradition of helping people help themselves. We envision an Inland Northwest where every family has a strong support system, where each senior thrives and is surrounded by friends, and where people who struggle have access to social services.
Description
Jewish Family Services organizations throughout the United States work to meet the social service demands of those in need. Jewish Family Services (JFS) is an organization that can be found in many communities with an established Jewish population. In the pursuit of tikun olam (fixing the world), many JFS organizations focus on assisting the aging, families, and children. While each local office is an independent nonprofit organization, all share a similar philosophy: to help those in need.
