Volunteer Patient Navigators support UCHealth’s primary care patients by helping to create a sense of home for patients needing a little extra help. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and receive training to be able to work alongside patients to get their needs met. You will benefit from this training for others and for yourself.
Volunteer patient navigators provide care alongside an integrated care team in UCHealth’s primary care clinics including medical providers, nurses, medical assistants, social workers, and psychologists. After receiving a patient referral from the care team, volunteer patient navigators will work to connect the patient to community resources. They assist in ensuring a patient connects to follow-up services, outreach to socially isolated patients, and support patients' problem-solving insurance related issues. This is a meaningful, effective and empowering volunteer opportunity!
We have openings in several clinics and some of our volunteer patient navigators are able to provide care virtually.
