PAWSitive Pantry is a nonprofit organization that provides free pet food to people facing financial hardship, with the goal of keeping people and their pets together. We do this in part by working with organizations throughout MA and VT to source monetary donations, pet food and pet supplies which are then distributed to local food pantries. Currently, Pawsitive Pantry delivers to food pantries in Barre, Leominster, Fitchburg, Athol, Orange, Templeton, Sturbridge/Southbridge/Brimfield/Palmer area and more. The need at these pantries has increased significantly during Covid and with rising inflation.
We are looking for motivated individuals and organizations who would like to partner with us by organizing and running pet food drives or setting up collection boxes for pet food and supplies in the above areas. These are great team building events that could be done by scout troops, schools, rotary clubs, community groups or clubs, houses of worship, or in the workplace. These can also be done at pet-friendly businesses with collection boxes. A PAWSitive Pantry volunteer would pick up the resulting food drive donations and then deliver to the food pantries in the area that we serve.
We look forward to meeting you!

Mission Statement
Pet Food Task Force is a program of PAWSitive Pantry. PFTF is a collaboration of animal shelters and humane societies within MA working together with retailers, donors, volunteers, to provide pet food to food pantries and social service programs. Our mission is to provide pet food security to those in need, honor the important role pets play in people's lives and work toward keeping people and their pets together despite financial difficulty.
Description
Pet Food Task Force is composed of over 15 animal shelters and animal welfare organizations. We have helped over 130 food pantries and other programs to distribute pet food to those in need. We started when COVID restrictions kicked into effect, but it is clear that despite what's going on with the pandemic, pet food security is a pressing issue in our society.
