Our company name is what we stand for, Be a Beacon of Hope in someone's life! Be the Light! Volunteers make a huge impact on our patients and their families. We are looking for compassionate people, who have a heart for hospice. It is so rewarding, and we know you will be blessed, just as much as you will be a blessing! We all become the 'extended family' to support and love our patients and their families right in their time of need. Be a friend, give a caregiver a break, read a book to a patient, make calls to patients, or serve at a community event. We believe if there is a need, we need to fill it! Due to our Medicare mandate, we are looking for volunteers who are either vaccinated or willing to take a weekly test.

Mission Statement

Our passion, as a team of trusted professionals, is to provide healing to patients, families and communities when cure is no longer possible.

Description

Beacon of Hope provides compassionate care for people in the last phase of an incurable disease, extending life and quality when cure is no longer an option. We focus on bringing comfort, self-respect and tranquility to patients through physical, emotional and psychological care. Why choose Beacon of Hope Hospice? Our team of hospice physicians, nurse practitioners, primary nurses, certified nurse assistants, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and bereavement coordinators are dedicated, outperform, provide, supply, arrange, create, commit, seek and respond. We have after hours care, accessibility, we are comprehensive and thorough, pharmacy access, and have compassionate care. The Be Connected program has been developed to serve patients who choose our hospice services that do not yet meet Medicare qualifications, or have been discharged from hospice due to improvements in their life-limiting condition. This complimentary service is provided with no associated fees. The program is funded by National Hospice Partnership Foundation, a not-for-profit affiliate of Beacon of Hope Hospice. Volunteers are needed for patient/family support, community outreach and office/clerical.
