Appleton Farms is looking for volunteers to assist the Livestock Educator with daily chores and operations concerning our education livestock herd consisting of chickens, baby goats (kids) and calves. This opportunity is great for adults and responsible teens with the commitment to keeping our animals healthy and happy. Volunteers will help feed animals, muck stalls, collect eggs, groom the goats, and more!
We require at least a 3 month commitment with a regular, weekly schedule to take part in this opportunity. The ideal candidate will have availability for 2 shifts per week. Training provided. Volunteers must be able to lift 30 pounds or more, work in all weather conditions, and be comfortable working independently.
We especially need volunteers for the following shifts:
Monday: PM shift
Tuesday: AM shift
Wednesday: AM shift
Friday: AM shift
Saturday: PM shift
