Be a Volunteer at Sheep to Shawl!
The Willamette Heritage Center's annual Sheep to Shawl Festival will be held Saturday, May 7th, 2022, from 10:00 am-4:00 pm. We have a great family friendly, outdoor celebration planned with self-guided tours of the woolen mill, live demonstrations, crafts, games, food, and other entertainment.
The event this May will not be a drive-through event, the happenings will all be in-person and outdoors in the fresh air. We are hoping for a great turnout and lots of fun this year!
As a volunteer, you are the face of the WHC and your presence enriches and extends our work throughout Marion County and the surrounding area.
Volunteer under the age of 16 must have approval from a parent or guardian. For volunteers 13 years and younger, parent supervision…

The Willamette Heritage Center connects generations by preserving and interpreting the history of the Mid-Willamette Valley.
Description
The Willamette Heritage Center is a non-profit museum in downtown Salem, Oregon devoted to telling meaningful stories about the past that connect the Willamette Heritage Center's unique historical site and resources to the region's diverse communities.
Fourteen historic structures in downtown Salem, Oregon house permanent and changing exhibits, a research library and archive, textile learning center, and rentable event spaces. The five-acre campus is also home to retail shops, art galleries, cooperative artist studios, and offices run by our partner organizations.
The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday 10am - 4pm. Library and Archives are open by appointment. Facilities closed major holidays.
