We are searching for skilled Sewers/Seamstress'/Sew-ologists to help make Memory Bears for our Hospice patients and their families. **Groups Are Welcomed**

Memory Bears are usually made in remembrance of a loved one or as a keepsake to pass from one generation to another. In making a memory bear, old clothes are transformed into a beautiful and comforting bear. Memory Bears make excellent Sympathy Gifts, Memorial Gifts and Bereavement Gifts.


ALL POTENTIAL VOLUNTEERS MUST SUBMIT AN APPLICATION, BACKGROUND CHECK (at no cost to the volunteer), DRUG SCREENING (at no cost to the volunteer) AND TRAINING/ORIENTATION.

Volunteers are an integral part of the AccentCare (formerly Texas Home Health Hospice) team, providing compassion and care when it is needed most. As the heart and hands of the hospice team, they provide a special kind of caring to patients, families, and staff through helping to make the hospice experience manageable and rewarding.

Men, women, and young people of all ages and backgrounds can volunteer in a variety of roles.

  • Office/Administrative Volunteer
  • Pet Therapy Volunteer
  • Bereavement Volunteer
  • Veteran Volunteer
  • Reiki Volunteer
  • Music Therapy Volunteer
