Overview

The Board will support the work of Cultivate Care Farms, Inc. and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. While day-to-day operations are led by Cultivate Care Farms, Inc. Executive Director, Assistant Director, and Farm Manager, the Board-Directors relationship is a partnership, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected.

Specific Board Member responsibilities include:

• Leadership, governance and oversight
• Serving as a trusted advisor to the Directors

Experience in some or all of the following:

• Corporate governance
• HIPAA
• Mass litigation

The Farm-Based Therapy Model:
Cultivate Care Farms is an outpatient therapy setting that serves over 180 clients per week. As part of developing Farm-Based Therapy as an effective evidence-based treatment for clients with mental health challenges, CCF is currently participating in two IRB-approved research studies. Farm-Based Therapy is based on the following tenets: Hands-on Experience, Mindfulness, Sustainability, The Life Cycle, and Community.

This non-traditional form of therapy is most effective with clients with the following diagnoses: ADHD, Autism, Adjustment Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Selective Mutism, and Trauma-Based diagnoses. We are a team of 13 staff members, and 9 Board members.
