Do you know someone with the following: physical disability- i.e., uses a wheelchair, is blind, limited walking ability; a senior citizen- 55+; a person with a developmental disability- i.e., autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, or family that has someone that fall into these categories?

Who are we?
Bethesda Indoor Park is creating an indoor park for those mentioned above. During games and concerts, we are running a concession stand at Bank of America Stadium to raise funds for BIP.

What will we do?

Volunteers (age 16+) would be helping to brighten the atmosphere for guests at Bank of America stadium by setting up and running a concession stand during events (Soccer/Football, Concerts, and other events) and cleaning the concession stand after the event. Our group is friendly, time goes quickly when you are having fun, and come cheer for the home team or sing-a-long with a concerts from behind the counter. BOA REQUIRES 2 HOURS BEFORE GATES OPEN TO HAVE STATIONS READY FOR GUESTS.

Event Date:

  • December 18th, 9:00 am NFL game
    min. 7 volunteers needed

Participating in these events help Bethesda Indoor Park raise funds for 2D/3D renderings of future indoor accessible park with playground. Must be 16+ to with completed minor consent form. Location:

Mission Statement

Promote the benefits of socializing, exercise, fitness, and play for those with physical and developmental disabilities, seniors, and families.

Description

Our founder, Mary Bolden, was received the idea for Bethesda Indoor Park after creating her own strengthening routine after she could no longer afford physical therapy sessions due to a work-related injury. Much of her routine involved trails at local parks. She took notice that areas were not fully inclusive or accessible. She also noticed that weather could limit the activities for even the best parks. Bethesda Indoor Park officially became a nonprofit organization in November 2018.

A current goal of Bethesda Indoor Park is to develop 2D/3D rendering for the indoor park space.
