Job Title: Volunteer Copyeditor

Organization: Connect Global, Inc

Reports to: Executive Director or Communications Manager

Position Overview:

The Volunteer Copyeditor will work with the Connect Global team to ensure that all written materials, including and not limited to website content, brochures, fundraising letters, and annual reports, are clear, accurate, and consistent in tone and style. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and excellent editing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and edit all written materials produced by Connect Global, including website content, brochures, fundraising letters, and annual reports
• Ensure consistency in tone and style across all materials
• Check for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors
• Ensure that all materials are clear, concise, and easy to understand
• Work with the communications team to ensure that all materials are aligned with the organization's mission and goals
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement to the communications team
• Attend virtual team meetings as necessary

Qualifications:

• Strong editing skills, including knowledge of grammar and punctuation
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Non-profit experience is a plus but not required
