Please visit the new page to apply.
You can make an important difference in the life of an older adult in Santa Fe. Spending a few hours a week or month, lending a hand with simple chores or just being a companion is often all it takes to give an older adult a sense of comfort and security. Coming Home Connection is looking for volunteer caregivers to help provide in-home care to older adults and others in need of care, support and companionship. We screen and match clients and caregivers. Background checks, orientation and training are required. For more information please call 505-988-2468. We look forward to having you join our community of caring professionals and volunteers, helping our friends and neighbors remain in their homes in comfort and safety.
COVID-19 considerations: All caregivers must wear masks when working in the home. It is our clients’ preference that you are vaccinated.

Description
Coming Home Connection's vision is that all people who need care, no matter how rich or poor, are provided for with dignity, compassion and respect. The mission is to train, place and support volunteer and professional caregivers in homes and other settings where help is needed. Last year the in-home care program provided 4,800 visits to 59 clients for 37,000 hours of care this year. CHC acts as an intermediary to connect caregivers with clients, based on client needs and caregiver skills. There is a tremendous demand for volunteer caregivers to care for clients with no resources to pay for care. Health navigation services were provided to 41 older adult clients last year and the durable equipment loan program provided 320 pieces of equipment loaned out to 212 families.
