Every week on Thursdays and Fridays, The Giving Room food bank receives generous donations from our grocery partners. Our food sorting volunteers help us inspect the donated food and ensure only the best is distributed to our guests. You will sort produce (fruits and vegetables), packaged fridge items (eg, packaged sandwiches, salads, dips etc), and other items like breads and pastries. There will usually be a few other food sorters working during the same shift.

The Giving Room exists to be God’s extended arms to embrace, build up and provide for our neighborhood in their physical, relational and spiritual needs. We offer food, friendship, prayer, and a door into a safe community.
The Giving Room food bank is a grocery-store-style space where guests can shop for free groceries and personal items. Every week we serve between 40-50 guests in North Seattle. All are welcome.
We seek to engage our neighbors in their physical, spiritual and relational needs. We do this through compassionate acceptance, resource-sharing and food distribution in a safe, non-discriminatory space, motivated by the love of Jesus.
The Giving Room is hosted by Epic Life Church, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
