Volunteers are needed to assist with Irving's SOUL Food program on Fridays. This program is every Friday from 9am - 12pm and provides food boxes to Senior Citizens who sign up in our community. This is a drive-thru distribution program, so volunteers will help make boxes and load them into participants vehicles.
Upon arrival enter through the second set of glass doors - past the circle drive. Ring the doorbell, and our staff will let you in. Please wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes and a mask.
For court-ordered service hours, please contact Cari Olberding to complete the necessary paperwork before signing up as a volunteer.
To schedule a group (5+ volunteers), please contact Cari Olberding to reserve a date.

Mission Statement
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Description
Backed by 131 years of expertise, The Salvation Army of North Texas is uniquely positioned to respond to the changing needs of our community. Our footprint across 4,078 square miles in Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis and Tarrant counties makes us the largest Salvation Army Command in the world. But more importantly, it allows us to reach our most vulnerable neighbors in every pocket of North Texas. As The Salvation Army of North Texas works to address the startling realities of addiction, homelessness, and poverty across our cities, we’ve never been better poised to win our battles. By re-establishing our goals for processes, partnerships, programs, and places, we can do more than just change lives. We can revolutionize the way we serve our cities.
