The Center for Career Pathways at the Allentown campus of Lehigh Carbon Community College is looking for volunteer tutors for it's Adult Literacy Program. Tutors will be working one on one or in small groups (virtual or in-person) to assist English as a Second Language (ESL) students in improving their Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening skills. Tutoring times are flexible dependent upon your schedule. The tutor coordinator will provide you with resources and materials to tutor. Join us in empowering residents of the Lehigh Valley empower themselves!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Degree/GED
  • Ability to make the time commitment of 3 hours per week to tutor.
  • Attainment of clearances
  • Flexible schedule

Description

Career Pathaways is a free program that offers a sequence in educational curriculum designed to help students along the path to a career in a high priority occupation. The curriculum is based on the needs of industries in the Lehigh Valley and is work focused. We offer both day and evenign clases to students looking to obtain their GED plus there are classes for English language learners as well.
