The Mine Experience at McCaw School of Mines is in need of volunteers. The Mine Experience provides school field trip where local students learn about mineral resources and mining in Nevada.
We need adult volunteers durring the week to assist with tours for students and 16 years and up on the weekend to help with our public days . No experience is necessary we will train you on your position.
Weekday volunteers are scheduled from 9:30am to 2:15pm, Monday through Thursday from October to May excluding school holidays. Volunteer every week or a couple times a month.
Public days are on the first Saturday of the month (closed July) from 8:45am to 2:30pm. Volunteers on public days would be helping safe guard our exhibits and resources. Hours for public days are from 8:45am to 2:30pm. All or part of the day.
