Visitor Greeter

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

We are looking for volunteers to chat with people as they arrive at the park. This fun job as a Visitor Greeter is located inside the visitor center. Visitor Greeters welcome people from across the country and around the world! Providing them with a park brochure and sharing information about upcoming films, guided tours, and programs helps ensure they have an enjoyable, educational visit as they learn about the life of George Washington Carver. You may also get to administer the Junior Ranger Pledge to some excited children!

Inside the visitor center is a museum, a theater for viewing the park film, interactive exhibit spaces, and a gift shop. It is also the starting location of ranger-guided tours of the mile-long trail. Find your place at your local national park! Join us as a visitor greeter a half day per week and we will provide you with the stylish Volunteers In Parks (VIP) uniform shirt. The schedule is flexible but we suggest four hours, one day per week!
