We are looking for dedicated individuals who would like to make a difference in the lives of Hospice patients that are being faced with advanced illness. Training is provided and no medical experience is necessary.
Services may include:
- Friendly visits with patient and/or family
- Listening to patient and keeping company for those who may not otherwise have it
- Reading, playing games, playing cards, drawing
- Respite support for caregiver by sitting with patient so that familes may take a break
- Meal preparation/light housekeeping
- Assisting with running errands, letter writing
Serving patients in Saulte St Marie surrounding areas from the Eastern Upper Peninsula including the islands, to below the bridge in cheboygan, Indian River, Brutus, and more.
Perspective volunteers will need to complete an interview and onboarding process.
