Walk with CWR in the 2022 Martin Luther King jr. Parade in Jacksonville, Florida!!!
WE are looking for all volunteers to come out and walk with us and our 2 vehicles.
Volunteer roles will vary but one thing we can promise you is a world full of fun experiences! We do not have an accurate time for the parade but can promise you it is only 1 mile long and then afterward we go grab a bite to eat, haha.
We are blessed and honored to walk in the parade and we have a strong goal of the more the merrier in terms of volunteers and we look forward to having you on our team. There is NO limited age we actually welcome all families with their kids, all we ask is that you continue to be responsible for your child(ren)for the entirety of the event.
Once you apply to become a volunteer you will be immediately emailed more information to apply through our organization and then have the option to join our group to stay updated. Volunteer roles will be announced once you apply but can include passing out candy bags to the parade participants, passing out flyers, cheering and having fun, "playing DJ on the speaker, and more.
*All volunteers will receive a T-Shirt and a goodie pack with water and goodies for being at the event. We know the time is early but we promise you it's worth it!

Crawl, Walk, Run: From Teens to Queens is a non-profit organization with a mission to advocate for teens to become emotionally, physically, and socially self-reliant. Our purpose is to uplift, empower, teach, and support teens in our community assuring they have a safe space in us by reducing the stigma put upon them by circumstance. CWR is committed to ensuring all children thrive. We focus on improving access to early childhood experiences. By enhancing their learning experiences, educational resources, and healthy developmental well-being. The purpose of the organization is to develop leaders and protect the mental, emotional, and physical health of families in underserving communities with or without a home.
Description
Since the pandemic, we lost our volunteers, fundraisers, events, and sponsors. But we took that time to research and get into our communities and continue to do the work hands-on. After falling in love again with our mission and our community we decided that our youth have not been able to have access to early childhood experiences, they do not have the luxury of being children! When you are low income you are not focused on providing experiences for your child to have fun but to keep them safe, alive, and well. We are currently focusing on all sectors of the categorical makeup. Our goal is to raise an intense amount of funds to support our programs. Along with these events we frequently do fundraising events that we need volunteers for!

- If you are able to come for the entire parade that would be great because once we start walking it will be hard to leave but you are completely entitled to!
