On November 27th, Learning Ally will partner with Public School 55 Benjamin Franklin of the Bronx, New York and Principal Luis Torres to provide over 500 students with free and new shoes.

Learning Ally is a trusted partner to the NYC Department of Education in delivering education solutions for thousands of students in the city. Principal Torres has called on Learning Ally to support him in this important event to serve the community. At Learning Ally, we put students at the center of everything we do; providing support to families and communities is a part of that mission.

We are honored to sponsor this event to support families in the NYC community. We’ll be joined by Sole for Souls, Macy’s, and Footlocker in supporting our friends at P.S. 55.

We hope you’ll join us in supporting the students of Public School 55 Benjamin Franklin and their families. This is a family friendly event, but all volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. We encourage you to bring a friend!

If you’re interested in volunteering, please fill out this form . We will share more information as we get closer to the event. We will also work to coordinate a virtual meeting prior to the event.

Mission Statement

Our vision is for all people to have equal opportunities to learn. Our mission is to promote personal achievement when access and reading are barriers to learning by advancing the use of accessible and effective educational solutions.

Description

Today, more than 30 million students struggle to read. By fourth grade, 65% of them are reading below proficiency. With early detection and proven accommodations, we can make strides in alleviating these detrimental consequences. Learning Ally is a leading nonprofit education solutions organization that transforms the lives of early and struggling learners through proven solutions from Pre-K through high school, to help students reach their potential.

We understand that all people learn differently and may need options to achieve their full potential. We are dedicated to helping individuals grow and succeed academically when access and reading are barriers to their learning. We will succeed by partnering with our communities and being a champion for those we serve so they may have the most accessible and effective solutions to achieve their personal best.
