We are currently seeking volunteers to provide companionship to patients located in our hospice unit located in Avon, IN. Volunteer opportunity involves visiting with and providing companionship to the patient one time per week. The day, time and length of visit will be at the volunteer's discretion. Mission Statement
Life’s Journey Hospice House provides a unique environment where compassionate, patient and family-centered care is given to those individuals with life-limiting illnesses. It is our fervent mission to deliver a specialized service for hospice companies and their patients by offering a facility that caters to the plan of care and mission set by each hospice company that we serve. We provide continuity of care of the patient’s emotional, spiritual, medical, and social needs by specially trained staff in hospice and palliative care.
Description
Voted 2019's "Best in Hospice" by the Avon Award Program, Life's Journey Hospice House is a privately owned company serving the community's hospice and palliative needs. This a faith based company whose mission is to provide the patients and their families with a team of specialized care givers to ensure that the end of life journey is the best it can possibly be. We are currently seeking additional members to join our family of volunteers in our ministry of service to others.
